Blast from the past
I had a ton of fun last night. I went out for the first time in ages and ran into all kinds of people that I haven’t seen in a long time. My friend Henry was the first person I saw. We used to run around together back in our early 20’s. He got married and moved to Chicago and we sort of lost touch then. He’s divorced now and moved back home. He’s in the process of getting his ultrasound tech certification and seems like he’s doing well for himself. I told him we’d definitely have to start hanging out again. The other big surprise was seeing a girl I used to date in high school. Her name is Eve and at the time I thought I was going to marry that girl. We broke up when she too moved away but for her it was school not marriage (thank god!). We tried the long distance thing for a couple of weeks but quickly realized it wasn’t going to work out. She’s engaged right now but I told her we should meet up for coffee or something soon.
